I recently got hit with mydoom. My antivirus picked it up but my computer has not been the same after I got it.

It takes a long time to boot up, my disk defrag. does not run, and the shut down process takes a long time.

Is there anything I can do to get back to normal?

If it were my computer, I would have an expert look at a hijack log to see what else may be on the drive. If you are free from malware, you can start looking for for other causes of the computer slowdown.

    Where to post a log.

Would doing a System Restore help?

I guess it would depend on whether any viruses, or malware is in system restore. You may do a system restore and be right back where you were.

If it were my computer, I would post a log and see if I had any other malware on the hard drive. :)
