    1. Web protection (aka WebGuard) not exist in Avira free.
    2. The web protection in another thing than Avira Browser Safety (ABS) which is available for free in chrome add-ons and firefox. :)

    Above all, it depends on the User's Experience.
    That's why EmsiSoft ranked 3rd worst; just ahead of Sophos and Microsoft. ;)

    To be more precise: The webguard of Avira Pro adds content scanning (like malicious java script, malicious download during transfer) to the mix while ABS (the browser extension) is bringing cloud-based URL blocking regardless of encrypted connections and Anti-Tracking to the board.

    Free doesn't do webguard, but for pro adding ABS on top of webguard actually does make a lot of sense.

    I love avira free but im having problems with iit running almost to a 100% in task manager i dont know why either,so i feel stuck with 360 antivirus.

    This is most likely a conflict with some left over from other AVs or another security software...

    Ive even reformated the pc and still having the problem,i use 360----hitman pro--ccleaner

    Do you have a link to there forum Osaban?I would appreciate it.
    All i could find when i searched is tech support that you have to pay the people that work for them and what not.
