Yes, I look forward to see why a tool to remove ZA is tagged as Conduit toolbar ;) and which is the sense of the detection. They should invest time in real threats rather then playing dirty with other security tool.

    LOL

Conversation of this thread appears to be pure opinion and rhetoric spouted from uninformed people.
Only one valid company rep from ESET would be the exception of posters.

Despite the many opinions, only courts and lawyers can be the official "opinion".

If you don't even know what you are talking about then why posting this? Probably only trying to derail the thread to have it closed. ;)

But lets post some facts then:

    1. ZA does not install any Conduit toolbar. The optional toolbar is from M... (don't mention the full name because the lazy ESET staff should at least install ZA to check..LOL)
    2. There are no Conduit components in the ZA removal tool or in the web installers. Web installer are basically empty and download online the files...
    3. The only component that ESET should tag, if they really had nothing to do, is the file CUninstaller.exe of 66.6kb from Conduit (by the name you can guess what it does and its there not by mistake but to remove the toolbar in case is found in old ZA installs). Instead they use this as an excuse to tag all product as Conduit. :thumbd:

So, there is no opinion here, I am afraid.

I have no specific interest in this, just warning other users of unfair practices from a "reputable" AV company. You don't need a lawyer, users should be able to judge, its rather straightforward. On top, its very easy, just install ZA and you can check yourself.

And with this I stop posting as all what could be said from my side has been said.

    Cheers,
    Fax

You should defend your point fax , we are many users here ,so hearing all opinions should be what we need to decide what we use.
3inchblue ,this is not a court ,but a security forum.
You want us put to jail for talking here about a security product ?!
LOL !Democracy is really coming to an end.
If this is the direction all the world is going i want Ceausescu back. :)

I really hope 3inchblue that you are not send by ESET to blackmail users here.

Lol... We don't explain and we don't care even if we are wrong and we care only about lawyers letters :thumb: you probably not yet realised you are now in a Democracy. :D

Btw, checkpoint has no interest in getting it fixed as 1.You are the only one in the AV industry doing this. 2.Your detection is blandly wrong as detailed above. 3. Users can find by Google this thread with full details. Conclusion : You look stupid not checkpoint. ;)

Anyway, thread can now be closed. It seems pretty clear...
