Hello, Running NOD32 v2b5 on WinXP. AMON/IMON setting : all files runtime packers and archives. When scanning OptixPro.zip : no detection Only when I unzip th eserver builder and the client are detected correctly. Regards,
Hi Jack Is it only Optix? I had this same problem at first and then descovered there were two places to setup up scanning. One is the Control Center and I found that was only for scanning e-mail IMON. The other is accessed only from the scan window. Start menu, Eset, NOD32 I find it funny they have a click spot on the main scanner windows that is for e-mail and then besides that you have to go to IMON to setup packers. I would think if you clicked Packers and e-mail in the mail window, it should folow over to IMON. Although NOD is not catching the zipped copy of back orffice or Donald Dick I have either screen shots below.
I just re-ran the scan with GAV and it didn't detect the zipped Back Orffice either but if I leave NOD on real time and do a scan with GAV NOD catches it while GAV is running it's unpacking engine. Interesting ey? con
Hello Controler, I had set it up when I installed NOD32 but it seems that the new shell add on from Paolo modifies the setting when installing (I just installed it now before running some tests) : After I re-entered the parameters in the second screen it's okay for NOD32 but for advanced heuristic, they are not saved : I have to re-enter each time : they are unticked after closing (Runtime packers, archives and Extensions : scan all files) Tnx for you concern,
Jack if you haven't figured it out yet, which I am sure you have see my thread here for what I saw after the update and just reclicking default and resetting the options fixed it. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=9953
No Jack is right - it keeps settings with the "normal" scanning but not with Paolos - I think he is working on it Ruben
