    Hi, Mannaggia

Well, I don't use FireFox. I wanted to know if I was safe with NOD32. From reading those threads, it looks like KAV and NAV have added signatures for it. Nothing was mentioned about NOD.

    Hi, Mannaggia

Well as a rule I only use IE for M$ updates.

But I will log out of here, and test the link with IE to see what NOD32 does or does not do.

    Hi, Mannaggia

I went to the link with IE and it crashed it, with no warning from NOD32. but Ghost SS was telling me about warnings from DrWatson.

No problem can be caused here, because I have and use ShadowUser, so a quick reboot and what might have been some where is now no where. :D

Hi TheQuest. Well I finally got the nerve up to check it out also. IE crashed. I don't know what happens if someone is running KAV or NAV. Will they keep IE from crashing? Maybe I should asked this at the Other Antivirus forum also. Thanks for checking things out. :)

i test it with Kav and bitdefender it did not crashed my IE. They both detected it and already added a signature of it.

I will try test it later with Mcafee and Symantec maybe, now i go to bed.
    Bye

I just checked things out at dslr, and looks like NAV doesn't help either. Don't know about KAV. Maybe it's time to look into FireFox. :)

Hi TradeMark. Thanks for that info. I didn't see your post before my last post about KAV. :)

Tried opening that page in IE and KIS 6 replied ' Trojan.JS.MBork.a virus'. Somehow I don't think you guys will have to wait long before NOD starts giving you the same response.

How would Avant do? Is it a safer browser than IE?

IE 7 beta 2 crashed so NOD does not have defs yet as indicated above.

Opera 9 beta not affected and works perfect.

Unless this exploit starts getting used and not just as a test I doubt Eset will add a def for it. Just my opinion but it seems this is the way they have gone in the past.

    Thanks,

    Chris

The page shows with Firefox and NOD... no crash
    With IE and NOD... crash
As a test, on another machine
With IE and another AV (name withheld, as this is a NOD support forum).... crash
    Cheers :)

On my machine : Opera displays the image OK, explorer crashes.
But I never use IE, except for Windows Updates, so....:D

I feel it's more of a problem M$ should solve, though. Adding signatures for this exploit in AVs is a good temporary solution, but it'd be better if IE could handle correctly this code.
