Many security apps make the tray notification icon optional, but recommend enabling it because they say it protects the app from termination by the Android OS. That's why it's reassuring to have the icon as a visual sign that the security is running. An alternative is to not show the icon and just have an entry in the pull down menu. If you could make the icon, or menu entry, optional then users could decide what they prefer. At the moment the only clear indication that ZMS is running is when it scans a new install and an icon appears saying the new app is safe. Also I think it would be good if Real-Time Protection was either enabled automatically during installation or if the user was asked during the install. Currently you have to look into the settings to discover and turn it on.

I got an invite through my email to try Zemana mobile AV...Downloaded it, entered my email as license key as instructed and just keep getting a message "not verified" all the time?

I had trouble updating an earlier version [ see my posts previously, above], and still having trouble getting the latest beta versions. Do I have to uninstall, like did last time to get it to update, again? There must be better way, than that!
Running fine here on Nexus 5 with latest AOSP ROM (July update). Just a question: Does it update signatures in background? I see it updates while I open the program... never seen it done in background tho.

Sadly I'm unable to register my email address, it keeps saying it can't be verified. I'm on 1.3 if that helps.
