Zemana install = strange...

    I guess I have to say that I didn't think my actions through.
    I installed Z the other day from their free 1 year giveaway.
    I like it. Easy to use etc..
    Now comes the fun.
    In the action center there are 2 Z icons. So I dig around and uninstall everything relating to Z except the installer and the 1 working program.
    I set up the action center to always shoe the icon and notifications. But every time I start my W7 x64 pc the action center has reset the Z to only show notifications.
    I don't know how to fix that.
    Z is listed in the start up manager to start with the pc. But it's not always starting.
    So I uninstalled everything except the original installer which is sitting on my desktop.
    I re-started my pc and then installed Z as a fresh new install.
    Now instead of having a 1 year license for free I have a 15(?) day trial.
    And the problems outlined above continue.
    Right now I'm more interested in the license problem than anything else.
    I've sent Zemana Support an email but have not heard anything yet, which is OK since it"s only been a day or 2.
    Any suggestions?

    PS: To find Z on my pc I have to look under the word Anti-logger. The pc can't find Zemana in Windows Explorer.
    Uninstall programs doesn't see it nor does Revo Uninstaller.

    my guess is that you cant get the one year license again, since it was only three days promo for all activation

    The license problem has been solved thanks to a generous new friend!
    Any ideas on how to tame the Action Center?

    I sent a email to support a week ago on the action center issue. Have got no reply. Seems to be very poor support. Have since removed.

    I like the product. Going to keep it.
    Not sure if we would get support for the free giveaway.

    To those interested. I restored an image of my harddrive taken prior to the Zemana giveaway (so Zemana had never been installed) I installed Zemana oday (6th Feb), entered the free code and whalla - it works. It ends 1st Feb 2012 but that's fine. Says its fully activated

    I run Zemana AL on Windows 7 x86 and x64, and the problem of the icon not staying visible exists on both systems. I guess it's a bug. It does notify though which is the main thing. You wouldn't want your system to be stuck waiting for a response to a Zemana pop-up that wasn't visible.

    If it's a known bug in Zemana's program, you would think that their support would be honest enough to reply to a request for help with a simple statement about the problem.
    I like their software but I'm losing confidence in their company policy.

    Well, I understand how you feel and basically agree. Poor support is definitely a reason to stop using software sometimes, but the icon problem is not a show-stopping bug. The program has been stable and useful in my experience.

    Just heard from Zemana support. The Action Center problem I have is a known problem that will be addressed in the next release.
    They also offered to take care of my license problem.
    All in all a very pleasant response considering that I have their free product.

    So it is a bug in the program itself...Aaaahh that is 2 days lost in trying to find out why my computer did not show the icon. :rolleyes:

    Now lets see how long we have to wait for the next release. :)
