I'm a relative "newbie" to security software so you'll have to excuse me if this topic has already been raised. Zemana states, "With the power of Pandora Real Time Sandbox Technology it dramatically increases zero day malware protection by blocking execution of files with low reputation." Would someone please translate this for me? Thank you.
3. ZAM also has Pandora Technology which analyses unknown files in the cloud before they execute on your PC. If you turn this off, unknown files will be allowed to execute and in the mean time, they will be sent to cloud for analysis. If the file in question is detected, ZAM will automatically start a smart scan to clean your PC. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/zemana-antimalware-2-beta.372569/page-51#post-2537296 --------------------------------------- It is powered by cloud and our cloud based heuristics based detection system (Pandora) + file reputation service which makes it very very good at stopping zero days. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/zemana-antimalware-2-beta.372569/page-51#post-2537287 --------------------------------------- To sum it up, it has everything it had plus Zemana Pandora Heuristic engine which runs in the cloud. https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/zemana-antimalware-2-beta.372569/page-29#post-2492906
A few questions, in case someone here knows what is going on under the hood with pandora: 1 does this mean that with pandora enabled, the system runs on a default-deny basis? 2 Does it only block files executing in certain locations, such as the download folder, or is it system-wide? 3 What does it exclude? All files with digital certificate? 4 Does it block all executables, or specifically .exe files? 5 does it work?
