People really shouldn't be amazed that OA, etc didn't react to the keylogger tests from the link in the previous post. The sad fact is hardly any Security program will alert you to the presence of any but the most basic "testing" keyloggers; this is why having specific protection against them is essential.

    I know,but why OA didn't alerted me,it has full HIPS too....i don't know,its a little bit disapointing...or maybe i'm overreacting...?
Edit...yes,i think i'm overreacting. But my choice remains,OA out of pc.

Hii Online armor will automatically ALLOW all certificated softwares(if u allowed OA to do so during Setup).
It will ask suspicious activities which doesnot have certification.
That tests from Zemana are certified by Zemana. thats y OA didnt give any alerts.

Thats y most security softwares are not detecting Zemana Tests.

idd - i mentioned this yesterday - OA does not popup.
a newerley test with malware defender popups access on lower level to keyboard.
strange that OA popups on my autoit compilation with sets ESC and F1 to its own purpose (as keylogger)
    (same for uniextract)

If you untick "Use Online Armor whitelist" under programs > options as in my first screenshot OA will detect those Zemana tests - see second screenshot:
    edit: screenies wrong order

Thank you all for your responses, and especially Dark Star 72 for the screenshots. That means nikanthpromod is right about certificates. Then why the heck Zemana "wants" you to do the tests, and all the .exe are signed??

If I remember well you need to turn off the automatic program configuration (white listing), remove it and test again. OA retail will block all.
This is why I had originally suggested that, if you have OA you do not need Zemana :)

EDIT: oooops... I was tooo late... LOL

    @ nomarjr3

I had similar problems at first. I have my firewall set to prompt me for all outbound access on everything. I found that setting Zemana to allow seemed to solve the issue. I then reset to prompt, and i updated the program yesterday successfully in this mode.

Just for your interest, Mamutu blocks all the zemana tests in paranoid mode.

I don't think I could stand mamutu in paranoid mode. Sometimes its almost enough in regular mode.

If you set it in paranoid mode, open all the programs you normally use, allow these, then it should be fine after that.

Mamutu doesn't need alot of options. It works great as is. What do you want it to do.... make you a cup of coffee?

I think that HIPS programs blocking Zemana's test executables from launching is not a credible passing grade of whether or not the HIPS is able to block the behavior of each of the tests. MD can also block each executable from launching, but in my eyes this doesn't constitute a pass. Whether or not OA or any other HIPS alerts or not to a whitelisted or signed executable is not the same as it alerting to that file's behavior.

@Jav: Thanks for posting the prior threads.

@firzen771: I don't want to reopen the argument, but I fully support your position regarding Zemana's geographical location.

Agreed- As Malware writers will imbed the keylogger in an application that normally would be trusted, unless a Security program specifically alerts one to keylogger behavior one really isn't protected at all.

    Derelict - agreed.

Regarding zemana, hopefully someone can test more keyloggers and data threats against it.
