Many ff users are fond of installing multiple ff extensions. These extension do make surfing pleasant and easy, also many of them can be used for fun and pleasure. I am starting this thread just to see what is your single most favorite extension. Please name only one- that's important as I want to see what is ur choice if u have to choose a single extension.
I am currently using more than 20 extensions on my firefox. My favorite one is- Firefox Extension Backup Extension( FEBE). Why? The reason is obvious. This extension is wonderful. Just one click and it will make a backup of all ur themes, extensions and bookmarks in one folder that u can use if u do a clean reinstall of ff, or reinstall ff on another PC. Really nice!

like u said, many ff user like multiple extensions including me. but for overall functionality, i like mr tech local install. it offers a slew of features including but not limited to archiving ur extensions and themes, restarting firefox from the file menu, easily editing userchrome.css etc, and bumping the max version of an incompatible extenions.

I don't use many either (6), but I would say 'NoScript' is my favourite.
Besides adding too many extension can give you problems when updating
    to a newer version. :doubt:

Yep,noscript is the only one I use at the moment.

Just a tip most probably know:

You can left click to highlight any word or phrase in a web page then right click the highlight and search web for.

    Saves copy and paste.

I will suggest to replace it with Tab Mix Plus that has more options.

BTW I am using about 22 extensions and no issues. I updated my firefox version few days back and did not get any problem except that Roboform is not working with latest version( a known incomatibility I think).

I didn't read all Firefox's extentions yet and I have only 4 extensions installed.
The extension Forecastfox is my favorite one until now, because it has nothing to do with security.
It was the very first weather software that satisfied me, because it gave me just enough weather info for today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow and I still can see more weather info, if I want to.
How is the sun and temperature, do I need my raincoat and is it windy or not. That's what I need to know in Belgium.
The other weather softwares, I ever had, were infected with adware/spyware or gave me too much weather info.

The trouble, I have with security softwares, is that I can't do anything else with these softwares, than protecting my computer and they always have bad news : attacks, infections, threats, ...
What I hate the most is that they break my concentration more than once per day with popups/messages and I don't like to be disturbed when I'm busy.
Extension "Adblock" and "SiteAdvisor" are QUIET, "NoScript" is lesser quiet, but bearable.

I don't have a single most favorite one, these are the ones I have right now.
So tell me which are good and which are less good (or crap maybe).

Didn't noticed yet, but I follow your advice because TMP is in my language :) (though that's not my general preference with a lot of apps.)

I use about 20 extensions at the moment and although the ones I use a lot:
NoScript, ShowIP and FasterFox are useful, from a compatibility point of view,
Nightly Tester Tools is the most useful to make what appears to be an incompatible extension compatible.

Try it if you have incompatible extensions - you have to install the extension with the box checked to Install with Nightly Tester Tools on the Install extension window.

I have a bunch of extensions, 18, but my favorite is Minimize To Tray. The nature of my work dictates that I must use Firefox immediately and have access quickly to desktop. I am paring them down a bit today because I dicovered some that I don't really use. I will still have more than most of you.
