    My favorite free online translator.
Especially the url translation is very impressive. Just enter your initial url and after that every page will be automatically translated in your language. :thumb:

Funny I was about to participate a while back with "daily rotation" but you beat me to it. I click on most of the recommended sites near the bottom a fellow can spend his whole day reading.
I have dial-up and "surfing" is kind of slow. Most of my time online, unfortunately is spent updating at slow speed.

Dbknox, for you: SmartDefrag ( or Advanced SystemCare 3 RC1 Beta ) and Process Lasso. And look to HijackThis and ToolbarCop. Look to Use Memory of explorer.exe; clean your services & Start-up programs ... delete WindowsUpdate.log ... Thumbs.db ... old Restore Points ... unused Windows components ... Right click on your Desktop - choose Classic Windows!:argh: Yeah!
    I do not know what it's dial-up ...

Have a Good Night, your bb PROROOTECT

Thanks for your precedent ( great! ) post, it's sweet of you, Dbknox.

Thanks for supplying that link JRViejo
PROROOTECT bottom line... it is extreemly slow and unfortunately where I live there is no access to high speed unless I had a lot of money.
I use most of the above mentioned (except I use Auslogics disk defragger and JKdefrag) and have done the rest as you say periodiacally ,I find that with every operating system a person has to tweak it to their personal use. I have reset my system restore to hold only 1 gig ( 15 per cent of my 320 gig hard drive is overkill) and when I take an image ( with True Image) I turn off system restore to clear it and turn it on again afterwards, makes for a smaller image. Do keep the good stuff coming.

It's not much but I find it very useful.

    Pathbuddy

It a program that allows you to create shortcuts to frequently accessed folders and quickly access them from just about any open file window, the desktop, explorer, etc.

Dbknox, i find for you ( on Google ...):

    # If on dialup, use a serial port Modem, WinModems and USB modems can seriously slow down your PC, as can any USB device.
    # If on broadband never use a USB Modem ( too slow and VERY insecure ) instead use a router with NAT ( preferable a built-in firewall ) via an ethernet cable, and avoid using DMZ, that way make it much harder for crackers to make your machine their bitch i.e. a zombie PC.
    # Use Firevire devices in preference to USB, they often work faster, witch much less load on the CPU.

... and : # It is definitely quicker before the explorer.exe VM grows ( see Task Manager ), occasionally you make end task of explorer.exe and then restart it ...

Thanks for trying PROROOTECT I do use serial port modem. I get approx. 45k speed which is fairly good for dial-ups.

I love your sense of humor don't lose it.
