    I wonder if it will gain more traction in the US than DailyMotion, which doesn't seem to be popular anymore. I don't think it's healthy for one company (Google) to have a near-monopoly on the US user-created long-form video market.

    I doubt it, I think YouTube is pretty good. Same goes for Google Search, that's why other search engines keep failing to become a serious competitor. And I didn't like Daily Motion's design.

    I find Daily Motion's autoplay hard to tame. Oddly enough, Sebaro's YT downloader also works on Daily Motion and a few other less-common tube sites.
