Yahoo Widgets site has a virus

    thanks monty.So i guess its safe to assume with medium or high free or premium makes no difference detection wise, the same results.

    I had a similar FP last year while using Avast and opening certain pages here. The script written in the thread triggered an alert in Avast that would not let me see the page. At least I can still see Yahoo with AntiVir. Avast fixed within a day if I re-call correctly...

    I'm using firefox with Antivir 8,the free version.When using firefox, there is no detection. However,I just tried browsing with Internet Explorer and it's a different story,then it detects the same malware as previously reported.

    All I know,is it makes a difference when using Internet Explorer,it gets detected,when using firefox it's not detected.

    Hmm,Does seem strange why the occurance with one browser and not with the other.

    As I thought, It's a false positive...

    This is the report I have just had back from the Virus Lab, and it indeed confirms you feeling of a FP.

    Thanks boost for the update,I must say Avira has a very good turn around time for samples sent.

    Yes, they fix and add definitions as fast as they could. :)

    Probs FP, avira naturally has high detection, and FP's are common, and its also heuristics...
