@Dani Santos Website seems nice, Xvirus Personal Guard does have one interesting feature: free realtime anti-malware protection. Next question is how good is that protection? There are no references to (independent) tests, on you tube there is a dramatically disappointing test of v5.4 Question: what does realtime protection protect against?
@Windows_Security Every type of malware, incluiding adware, trojans and viruses. Here is a more recent review. Best regards!
New Xvirus Personal Guard 6.0.2 Download Changelog: Improved cloud scan; Fixed a bug that prevents xvirus from deleting malware; Improved stability; Bugs fixed.
Well that is an easy answer. It is easy to protect against all types, but a lot harder to protect against all instances of those different malware types. The review shows someone having trouble finding active malware and struggling with internet connection (waiting for the download to finish). So maybe you can tell me what the behaviour blocker looks at (I noticed hidden processes, but what else)?
@Windows_Security The behavior blocker looks for various suspicious behaviors of all processes that aren't in the whitelist. For example: Start up automatically on Windows start, File propriety set to hidden, double extensions, suspicious vb/java scripts,ect... Best regards!
What startup entries does it look? What makes a VB/Javascript suspicious? What is etc? I really think you should be clear about what it protects against.
I think it's quite obvious that this is no advanced HIPS/BB, not my cup of tea. Some people might like it.
I actually kinda of like the GUI. also would like to see some tests done against in the wild malware.
New Xvirus Personal Guard 6.0.3 Download Changelog: Improved cloud scan; Added new translations: Estonian, Hungarian, Serbian, French and German Fixed a bug that made every translation turn into polish; Fixed a bug that prevented Xvirus from updating; Bugs fixed.
New Xvirus Personal Guard 6.0.4 Download Changelog: Improved scanning speed; Added new translations: Spanish and Korean Bugs fixed.
yes I just installed the new version and running a scan. I am running a quick scan and it seems very slow. I ran a windows defender quick scan just before and it took 12 min. I have 16 gig ram. see screen shot.
I am trying to improve it as much as possible. It should be faster than the lastest version, but there will be more optimization in the future.
