Awesomeness abides: a review of Xubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin running on my Asus eeePC netbook, covering installation, reuse of the home directory, look & feel, customization, extra software, great results with programs like LibreOffice 4, responsiveness, multi-tasking, resource usage, battery life, Function keys, fan control, and more.

I'd have gone for elementaryOS Luna - it runs like a champ on a very elderly VIA chip HP mininotebook. Its fast and light on system resources and is a lovely little Macbuntu. :thumb:

I have the Mac OSX wallpaper on my Pantheon Shell. You can download the MacOSX theme for it from noolabs and simply by changing the theme and the button order, elementaryOS Luna can be made to look like Macbuntu in virtually no time at all!

Since its based on Ubuntu Precise Pangolin, its good enough for 5 years support. :thumb:
