I have done the suggested steps for the removal of xlime with Spyware blaster 3.1. Under my login (where the xlime was originally contracted, the problem seemed to have gone away after I did the SpywareBl, but on the remaining 3 logins the xlime minimized windown pop up and slow things up to standstill) Here is my log. I am very grateful to anyone out there who can help me further.

    Hi janusstone,

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    Hi janusstone,

    Much better already.

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [alchem] C:\WINDOWS\alchem.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [P2P Networking] C:\WINDOWS\System32\P2P Networking\P2P Networking.exe /AUTOSTART
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CMESys] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII\CMESys.exe"

    O16 - DPF: {FE1A240F-B247-4E06-A600-30E28F5AF3A0} (iiittt Class) - file://C:\install.cab

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII <= entire folder
    C:\WINDOWS\alchem.exe

Then uninstall P2P Networking in Add/Remove Software

Show us another log when you are done please.

    Regards,

    Pieter

    Pieter,

Hmmmm. Followed instructions, but was unable to reboot into safe mode. Couldnt figure out how even with instructions from Windows (It said press F8 at the 'choose an operating system prompt, but I never got that prompt). Not sure how unwise this was, but went ahead with instructions and deleted
    C:\WINDOWS\alchem.exe, but I could not find C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII folder

I then tried to uninstall P2P Networking software but was unsuccesful because it is still there after a few tries. Here is the Hijack log now:
