I did (2 weeks ago), when no reply was received here. https://community.webroot.com/t5/Ideas-Exchange/Threat-encyclopedia/idi-p/17872
Thanks for the link Dermot7. Now I know as much about it as you do We'll see what they will make out of it
I am doing another test run with WSA, and I read somewhere that unknown program (non dangerous) will be monitored for a longer time than dangerous files. As I like to keep an eye on this and have an easy overview of all monitored files in the "Active prossses", would it possible to sort the running files in here by just pressing Monitor or Allow etc? /E
Adding full list sorting is something we haven't put in place for 2014 but I think it would be worth at least showing Monitored processes at the top of the list rather than sorting them by start time. I'll see if we can get this in place for the first release. Thanks!
Have a notice when a new version is available, if the user has "Automatically download and install updates" unchecked.
i see a lot of the more advanced options from previous version are missing. i would like to see something like avira had where you could have basic settings as default and a "advanced" section or switch to allow more customization. also and to me even more important i would really like a "add" button to add items to the firewall without having to run them first. there are many times when i am testing a new software and until i can see what it does i want to be able to block it BEFORE running it instead of letting it run and then finding it on the list to be able to block it. and maybe in doing so a more application style list to the firewall like a normal firewall. many of the clients i have who run wsa are used to a simple app type firewall. as of now those (and im EAGERLY awaiting the new web filtering) are really the only two things i miss with wsa complete.
The options have been combined into the new configuration options. Except for some settings which were literally never changed (and we've just defaulted to being 'On'), no granularity is lost with the new configuration, but it is indeed considerably easier to use by being much more straightforward. I'll add this to the list - thanks!
Hi Joe while your at it can you add a reset or clear button as well? https://community.webroot.com/t5/Id...ton-for-the-Firewall/idi-p/20552#.UlBbnlMeFGE TIA, Daniel
You can run it as the free version but with no protection or ID protection only malware detection without removal. But I wonder if there ever will be a free version? Facebook has a 6 month free trial! TH
Is your wallet empty? Some softwares are worth paying for But I understand what you are saying...a promise is a promise. But I don't remember that promise myself though
Actually, i'm not bothered so much about the MD, but rather the other protection etc it offers Yes, a LOT of us also wonder ! It shouldn't have been Promised, if they didn't Really mean it I don't do FB
people can get wsa for as little as 10$ usually. to me thats basically free and helps keep the program around and running? 10$ for a year is to much?? but you dont need to use facebook to use the trial just download the facebook version of wsa and install it. pm me if you need a link. i still suggest looking around for a cheap version.
I haven't received an answer on Ideas Exchange, so will there be a test URL for the URL filter? Someone also pointed to AMTSO phishing test URL, but only 2013 web filtering blocks it, the 2014 doesn't. https://community.webroot.com/t5/Ideas-Exchange/URL-to-test-Website-Blocking/idc-p/65599
We do have a test URL but I'm not certain if it is for external testing. It may be worth making a new Community thread to have someone from support clarify if we have one.
Thanks, just did that: https://community.webroot.com/t5/Webroot-SecureAnywhere-Antivirus/Test-URL-for-Webshield/td-p/67337
