It's my turn to be confused....
We're protected only if the padlock shows?
Shouldn't protection be active no matter if things are in the foreground or background, maximized or minimized or in-between?
    :doubt:

Yes. So, in order to have Identity shield protection, the user must constantly check that the padlock icon is present. If he accidentally shrinks the browser and clicks outside the browser, keylogging protection will be gone. I'm glad I also have Zemana installed.

No as Joe said they don't Blacklist the Spyshelter Tests or it would be detected by WSA as malware! So the test is only good for Identity Shield in which the test would have to run in the background as if real Keylogging malware would do! And for the screen shot test the test Window can only be done in the foreground and that would make the lock on the Tray Icon disappear so no protection! This is a test only so I wouldn't read so much into it!

If you had a real Keylogger Malware WSA would block it and also if you were to let the infection run and did online banking with the Lock in the Tray Icon your Borwser is protected on HTTPS sites even if it is unknown or not detected by WSA!

As long as the lock in the icon was present.

For the average user that don't know much all they care about 1) When I'm doing online Banking and or Shopping I just want to know I'm protected and my password and credentials are safe! 2) If there is a real keylogger that is not detected I'm still protected doing the same! Identity Shield does just that and as Joe mentioned a few times before there are third party organizations continually testing WSA and it's Identity Shield protection!

True for undetected Keyloggers as that is what Identity Shield is designed for! But if WSA detects it, it would be removed so the threat is gone!

EDIT: The same can be said for the Spyshelter Tests and the Zemana Tests!

I just downloaded the Zemana Test and it stays in the foreground so you can click in the test window it will log keys but when you click in the Browser on a HTTPS site with the lock on the tray Icon it stops logging keys as it should! :thumb:

Without Lock on tray Icon it logs keys pressed!

With Lock on the Tray Icon logs keys no further!

Your welcome I personally don't care for these type of test simulators but I was glad to help you understand!

How screenshot can work on a minimized or background window? or how keylogging can log if you are not writing? You are protected when you most need it, i.e. when you are logging, browsing, working with the web browser on https sites (you can set it to all sites if you want but it makes not much sense). Please also consider that the protection is targeting malware if ever it will manage to pass all the other lines of defense of WSA.
