Strange because I ran WSA and KIS 2012 without issue and currently run WSA and KIS 2013 without issue. :doubt:

Yeah, strange indeed. KIS2012 was also running fine on my end. Maybe Joe can clarify why some people are having problems with KIS2013 while others do not?

Driver issue would be my guess but Joe would be the man to ask. ;)

I believe this is fixed for the next update so you should soon be able to use both alongside each other again :)

Lucas send me a message to test the latest beta, like I posted a few posts back, the blue screens are gone! So I'm running both together now.

    Hi kdcdq

I am indeed the one that you were referring to...but did not spot the thread as I was on holiday when it started. Have read through it all and very much agree with what has & is being stated...and for one I can say that as soon as WSAE & KIS 2013 are compatible with one another (thanks to Joe & his great team at Webroot) they will both be running side by side on my system.

KIS & WSA have in the past beautifully complemented each other IMHO and with KIS 2013 a great improvement on the 2012 version, i.e., lighter & faster, etc. I will feel even better protected.

Just my thoughts whilst I wait for the release of the Fall update.

    Regards

WSAE latest beta installed this morning, with latest KIS 2013 (Patch 'a') and so far so good...no issues in terms of co-existence noted so far. have yet to try banking transactions which is where Identity Shield & Safe Money will both try to do their bit.

Will eventually turn one of them off but want to see how they sit.

Will report back if I spot anything in terms of incompatibilities...but so far they are paying well together...like before. :D

    Regards

You can download a trial version from Webroot's site but the current commercial release is incompatible with KIS 2013. The current beta of WSAE is what I am running/testing and only that version runs with KIS 2103.

If you want to use the WSAE beta you will have to contact Webroot and request a beta key.

In terms of your question on installation KIS 2013 must be installed first as if you try to install it with WSAE installed it will advise that you should uninstall it first (you are not forced to but it advises that if you do not KIS may not install properly, etc.).

But is KIS is alredy installed it does not stop the installation of WSAE...which takes place normally as far as I can see. SO the simple answer is; KIS first & WSAE BETA second.

    Hope that helps?

    Regards

    No problem!

For information: things continue to look up re. compatibility. Still no apparent issues detected between the co-habiting apps. :D

Though, still to test Online Shield & Safe Money together.

    Regards

After reading this, it makes sense to me. My key board went berserk, something told me it was K2013. I have installed it on another computer, some trouble but got it in. On my Toshiba Laptop.... I am at the 4th uninstall. It just won't work... I have no other AV and do have Windows Defender which I don't even use or update... I also paid this time around, but now, maybe I will see if I can install it once again, if not, I am gonna suck it up as loss and go for WSA. Too bad, so sad, I really liked Kaspersky!!

    Thanks for the help here.
    Blessings

Im using a toshiba laptop at the moment and have no issues with kaspersky.
Did have one very minor issue a few weeks back when the keyboard went dead on me but i believe this was something to do with the secure input extension.

For 3 years I payed for Kaspersky Internet security because I thought a free Internet security suite could never match a payed one, boy was I wrong, I had so many stupid security softwares installed and I still got infected, like whats the point using all this overkill?

I started giving free software a chance, and I switched to Comodo Internet security, and I have not been infected not even once since I have been using it.

So all I am using on my Windows 7 ATM is Comodo Internet Security in proactive mode, & Spybot search and destroy, with Immunization, and teatimer, yep thats it, and no virus on my machine ever since. :thumb: all the other security software did was slow my machine so much it felt like a virus, yes its great to have my machine running fast, instead of being bogged down by some stupid overkill.

I even have a lifetime license for malwarebytes, but I disabled it because it serves no purpose as in Comodo already stops everything I have thrown at it!

But in the end, you can have all the security software in the world, but If your running things like, keygens, patches, or cracks, most these things are packed with some kind of malware.

I know its kinda offtopic but I wanted to share

I appreciate your comments but you are in the Prevx & WSA forum and your post has nothing to do with this thread so please respect that if this thread was in the other AV or other AM forum it would be fine!

    Thanks,

    TH
