Thanks ErikAlbert, my question is probably more in the context of behaviour (surfing, research etc), with a limited amount of experience or knowledge on the latest nasties out there and how they work. Hence, some current tips on the safest way to browse would be be great. Also, with ADSL, am I secure when I shut explorer or shoudl I turn off the whole system?

I am currently reading up on this site re all the comparative security software combos, and why people have what they have.
