Thanks bodgy, and also to Mudcrap and thanks also to shieber ....
Your references to Mudcrap is wrong. His user name is MudCrab--like his avatar icon.
Thanks for pointing that out to me GroverH, some how that has just stuck in my mind.
My aploagies Mudcrab
Acronis "Media components" 5.4.8 of the user guide.
I was reading this, and thought of what you said, i have not done this yet, but was about to, when i thought of your statement.
All my backups are on an external hard drive, and i also have created a rescue CD.
So i was wondering if i should "write a full standalone verision of acronis TIH"
to the External HD, to use this "One click restore"
I just thought i would get some advice from some experienced user's as to using this feature, and if its worth doing it.......
Thank you for using Acronis True Image
The mentioned options such as One click restore and Write a full standalone version of Acronis
True Image Home to the rescue media are available only if you want to place the archive to CD/DVD disks.
If you store the archives to the external hard drive, you need the standard Acronis Bootable Rescue Media only.
