I have Eset Nod32 v5.0.94.0. The latest one is 5.0.95.0. So my question is, why doesn't the upgrade-button work? I mean like, usually it should at least give me a warning that I'm not using the latest version?
The latest version available via a program component update (PCU) is 5.0.94. 5.0.95 is a hotfix for issues related to mounting USB drives on Windows XP, currently available as a msi installer downloadable from ESET's download page. The same msi installer is downloaded when using Live Installer or the newer version check when running an older msi installer.
So, if I get this correctly, the upgrade button is only for program updates? Like from v4 to v5, etc? Not from like v5.94.0 to v5.95.0?
not correct. I upgraded from 5.0.93.0 to 5.0.94.0 via the update button inside the program. It did take a few weeks after 5.0.94 was officially released to be available via the update button inside the program.
