WMPDXM.DLL error?

    Its probably not the appropriate forum for this question, but I'm desperate and don't know where to find the answer.
    Using Windows ME. When I try to open IE, My computer, Recycle bin, My Documents by double click or from start menu, I get blank window (just frame) and the error message "IE caused an error in WMPDXM.DLL Program will close now" IE reopen but it shuts down Norton AV. And who knows what else? Have to restart. To avoid this I have to open everything by right click-explore
    Any suggestionso_O

    Try to unistall or install the latest version of windows media player..
