Windows XP Welcome screen

    After having to remove Net. Framework 1.1 then re-install to get the latest update to load my Welcome Screen has changed. Now I have to click on my name to continue. How can I stop that?

    .NET 1.1 add another logon acount. Go into manage accounts in the control panel and I think there is an option for "show on the welcome screen" or something similar. I think you can just uncheck that for the new item and it will work next time you boot. At least that is a s well as I remember it not having used XP in 6 years. I do not remember the name of the account it adds or I would have directed you to more specific instructions.

    I deleted the unwanted user account and now it boots the way I like. Thanks for the help.
