    Hello,

Does a trial copy of Windows XP Home Edition exist? I currently have Professional and would like to switch to Home Edition.

    Thank you,

    Gracie :)

It just creates a boot disc it won't give you A working windows install. it is used to get a computer started that is infected or might have a corrupted boot sector or the like. and it will only work on xp home.

Oh ok, I see. Alright well, I guess I'll have to get the CD when I can.

    Hi bigc,

While I understand your sentiment, not everyone is enamoured with Pro's overhead - cost and features that if not used, what's the point?

And if someone with Home does have a need for the secuity overhead/Domain access, $99.00 pro upgrade (full OS) gets you there.

    Regards - Charles
