windows update does not respond

    Hello,

    Windows update (Vista sp2) does not respond correctly anymore.

    So, I have a window with no informations about the updates and no possibility of downloading.

    i run xp,,but this maybe related to services.msc
    in there look if windows update is disable..
    hope this help

    Thanks for the answer. You have reason, it is related to services.msc, but there Win. update was activated.

    So the following procedure must be followed :

    - Via services.msc, stop windows update

    - Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore and delete the files

    - Then start windows update again.
