XP on my working machines, although I do have a W2k laptop also. Will e updating my main PC in the next month or two and will go with XP on that one too.
I have finally surrendered to some eye candy. Our 2 home built towers and both home tweaked lap tops all run XP pro. My tower being the only one of the 4 on 64 bit.
I have two Desktops, and a large laptop. All run Xp Pro SP2. Also have an IBM Thinkpad tablet. Run Tablet XP on it. All three of my VM machines also have XP Pro SP2. I do have a Vista image for one of my desktops, for play/test purposes
I use WinXPproSP2 until my computer is worned out and then probably winVISTA, which will be almost fully patched by then and I don't need to search for softwares, drivers, ... anymore, that work under winVISTA.
My personal and work computer being one and the same, I have vista installed which works flawlessly so far.
No real need\necessity. When I built my current tower I maxed out the memory at 4 gigs. I was running Win 2k. It\all 32 bit MS OS`s will only see up to around 3.5 gigs. I just really wanted to see\use all 4. Actually there is a drawback. Any program that needs to hook the kernel (most security apps) will not function on 64. Other then that I have had no problems. MS provides an x86 Program folder that 32 bit apps. will install into by default.
I use my home computer as my work computer as I work at home so my answer would again be Windows XP Pro SP2.
I'm using a Windows 2003 server with Exchange 2003 installed. The workstations have XP Pro installed. At this stadium there's just too much unsure about Windows Vista and 3th party software. Software that is probably needed to keep the business going. Besides that: I'm managing a network for a small company. They simply can't effort to upgrade their PC's so Vista will run smoothly, while XP is running fine. There will be hardly any advantages to user experience and security, since they are already limited domain users.
