Windows LiveOneCare

Does anyone have recommendations with regard to this free scanner? It seems pretty good to me. It's kind of expensive if you want to buy it, though.

Do not use it myself. But there seem to be some problems(?) with it as mentioned in THIS THREAD

 

I've just been using the free scan through the internet site. I have not installed the program on my machine. And it does run just fine with Avast. (Which is what I have.) It also refuses to run on any browser other than Internet Explorer.

Not a surprise there. LiveOneCare\IE = MS. A bit proprietary, just what we have come to expect from MS.

 

very good service but as usual, its ms, and is dependent on ms basic stuff.
