Windows firewall control

    Hi,
    My friend is using windows 7 firewall control and he does not understand the setting of it.
    What setting should be recommended for software and browsers.
    Browsers like ie,ff and chrome ....... Incoming only/outgoing only.....
    Software like adobe ccleaner..........Incoming only/outgoing only.....
    Your help will be Appreciated

    Those programs only need outgoing.

    The free version of Sphinx Windows Firewall Control does not support System/Core application protection.

    Can someone please explain to me exactly what System/Core application protection is...and if we really need it....and when something would occur where System/Core application protection would be needed?
