kronckew > - Win10 IoT Enterprise LTSC and as I said I managed to recover it with my good backup soft but I was concern about the fact that after uninstalling a simple soft windows was collapsed !! And as you could see on second image there's no access to CMD. As I said before I have other software unexplainable issues compare with Win8.1
    - I just did once again WFC to medium and started Waterfox and it did work well after accepting from WFC notification !!! AI assume that when I added Waterfox in different way conflicted in some way ! I hope Dev. is going to look into this issue ! I think it shouldn't create such conflicts!!! Also eMail client somehow fixed itself !!?? Which I don't really like that WFC despite being very intuitive and simple acting in such way !! In similar way I just realised Steam did, was blocked from the beginning now I restarted and seems to be ok ??!

"I always recommend ...Windows version (win11)'' o_O:blink::eek::eek: I'll try to answer short ! its not the hardware ! my hardware is for Win10 ! It's the **** Microsoft policy to enforce this low reliable ****:mad::mad:!! And I don't debate in your situation maybe its working well and you r happy but for ** sake not in my case and I tried many times 10 and 11 and none of this trash coming close in stability to win8.1 before you'll blame on me I use Windows/Linux since 1999 so !! to not go too far in history, I just compare now on same hardware how Win10 and how win8.1 was running and its huge difference !! Win8.1 just flying, 10 doesn't feel the same !! Now how is this better OS if I need more powerful hardware ?!? I'm even going in some soft issues which refuse to work in win10 :mad: ! still have to figure out why !! Unfortunately IT industries and not only are behaving more like a GOVs! enforcing a stupid low just because they decided it its ok and you have to obey otherwise you are bad guy !!

I don't try to offence anyone but this program is freemium and in theory it supposed to attract some customers to buy it for $50/y :blink: !! I'm not sure how last week experience is going to attract me in buying this !o_O

Try to read the user manual. Windows Firewall Control is freeware, not freemium. If it does not suit your needs, you can remove it and try another software which does not create so many problems. And please stop using so many emotion icons. This is not a chat on YouTube.

c'mon looks more beautiful with emojis :D !! By the way you saw how ended uninstalling it !! now I'm stuck with it !!:D But speaking seriously I do agree with you that someone doesn't like it to just delete it ! however there is ''another side of the medal" as always : if developer made this soft available for public for good intentions of course:thumb: then should accept other views as well ! Trust me I'm not wasting my time here for fun or to throw *** in dev'. !! actually I like the idea of the app ! Its coming very close to what I would like it to be:thumb: ! I just try to pint out some issue I don't know how to handle !! And replying me about emoji instead of technical solution hmm I don't know !!:(:(

marius_ss, in your image above it shows that you have WFC set to block all in and block all out. that might be the reason the connections are being blocked?

hello everyone :) i just now installed WFC.

i was hessitant to install it because i felt like i needed to know something about it before installing it. i finally just went ahead and installed it, blindly.

i haven't done any special tweaks, just changed the settings in "profiles" from low to medium. i am allowing everyting that pops up. maybe i will tweak the settings more, later.

WFC seems to be working fine with the default settings (thank goodness), except that, again, i changed the security-level from low to medium.

Changing the security from low to medium, is the recommended action. Allowing everything isn't, because you are essentially bypassing WFC.

WFC sometimes stops showing notifications despite the setting "Display notification" and Medium filtering being selected. To fix the issue I usually reboot, changing filtering profiles and disabling/enabling notifications doesn't seem to fix the issue. WFC will just continue to block new connections without displaying a prompt.

I have no idea what triggers it, it will work for a long while then stop without any reason.

    Instead of rebooting, try:

    1. Connections Log/Log Connections: uncheck Blocked connections. This will disable notifications. Check/enable this again.
    2. Main Panel/Notifications: Enable them
    3. Main Panel/Notifications: Advanced notification settings: I assume you use the defaults here. Change them all to non-defaults, then hit "Reset default advanced settings" to bring the defaults back.

See if notifications are now displayed. As for what triggers this, I don't know. Windows Updates, most probably.

(rant) This is so annoying. Looks like "Store" apps are steadily moving away from their own, self-created and self-sufficient firewall rules (as allowed by WFC's "Allow Windows Store rules" option) and now require a "standard", manual rule inside Program Files\WindowsApps.

Of course, these cryptic, mobile-like folders include version numbers, they keep changing and require special attention and exceptions in WFC. Well done, Microsoft.
