Windows Disk Manager Backup Capsule

Paragon Backup & Recovery Free 2013 starts in Win 8.1 but preforming any task with it any operation doesn't go beyond 'pending'. Reinstalation fixes nothing. Is there any problems that deleting the backup capsule with Windows Computer management might present? Windows gives this warning that it didn't create the partition the delete wouldn't affect windows booting normally in any way?

 

Windows 8.1 is not currently supported. A new version of Hard Disk Manager will be released in the next few days that will support Windows 8.1, and soon after the rest of our product line will receive new versions as well, with the free versions of our products being the last to be updated. Free versions should be updated the first part of next year.

 

Thank you for the quick response but I was having the same problems in Win Pro 8.0. I would just like to remove the capsule. Is this doable with Win Disk Mngr. without any repercussions?

 

Backup Capsules are not currently supported by GTP/uEFI disks, again will be enabled with the new version.

You should be able to remove the Backup Capsule with Paragon, or with the Windows Disk Manager, this should not cause any problems.

The update for backup capsule support in GPT/uEFI disks is available in the new Hard Disk Manager 14 product.
