VMware workstation gives me an error saying it cant find CD/DVD device drivers. I was using the link that you provided earlier as well. One thing of note, I do get the Windows setup screen, click on install now, but no license agreement pops up. Maybe that is the problem?

After that I get the CD/DVD device driver error, and cant seem to get out of it.

EDIT: As for your last question, how do I find that out? Never mind figured that out, and yes it does support that.

Yeah it says my processor is supported. The pc Im running it on is a Win 7 X32 with SP1 and is fully up to date.

I am selecting Win 7 in vmware for sure.

    Hi Trooper,
So your processor is 64bit bit right if it has VT? Then why have you 32bit win 7 installed? Maybe I didn't understand, please forgive me.

Nothing seems to work, keep getting the CD/DVD error message. Dunno why.

I maybe wrong, but 32bit processor does not support VT. In your case the processor might be 64bit, because Windows 8 requires VT enabled.

Have you checked your bios, whether it is enabled or not?

I have tried with it both enabled and disabled and still no go.

What gives? I can run other systems in a vm but not Windows 8.

And while creating the new VM are you selecting "I will install the operating system later".

One more thing try to re-download the iso image again and check the Sha 1 hash if it matches or not.

If this doesn't work, you should post your problem in vmware forum.

Edit: Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

I'd be careful what "tweaks" you use on a rolling OS. A lot is going to change, and big changes can come in a single update... you don't know what you're going to break.

Same old junk of a bloated OS in a new wrapper for suckers as usual. Good job M$, how much more bloat can you add, guess the limit hasn't been reached yet.

Saying Windows 8 is a android wannabe, is like saying WP7 is a android wannabe. This will be my last post towards you because I don't want to escalate it any further.

I don't know, considering his last rant at me in the Unix forum, I think he likes making up new words and/or using big words to sound intelligent but hasn't found anything suitable for troll yet.

So true, but Dee does have a point. The guy is just a sad little fanboy who doesn't really deserve to be replied to, so why bother? We called him out, what else can he or us say that wouldn't just be saying the same thing over again really? I expect all these little jabs to be gone soon, which is fine by me. Let's get back to Windows 8.
