BTW, is anybody using 7+ Taskbar Tweaker on Win 11? From what I understood, it will only work if you have installed Open Shell? Perhaps someone on Win 11 can check this out, TIA.

Yes, I did read it's not compatible with Win 11 anymore. But I think I saw someone mention that it works just fine as long as you use a tool like Open Shell, I wonder if this is true. This developer did develop some new tool named Windhawk, but I don't think it's the same as 7+ Taskbar Tweaker.

Most of these 3rd party apps like Explorer Patcher and StartAllBack all lead to problems sooner or later, especially the former. These developers all struggle to some degree to keep pace with Windows Updates, made even worse by MS' new roll-out cycle. Not worth the trouble for me.

BTW, a friendly user tip: Hate W11 Explorer context menu? Right click + Shift shows old one immediately. :thumb:

The Shift also reveals some options that would not otherwise display without it, such as "Open in new process" and "Open PowerShell window here" (using File Explorer options in this example).

That's why I simply don't update Windows, it's not worth the trouble for me. Tools like Open-Shell are way more important to me then those pointless OS updates, who sooner or later will break things. :p

Definitely not smart as it's the #1 thing you can do stay secure, but we've been through this before with you.

Staying secure does not necessarily mean updates. It can, but by and large, that's not the first and foremost thing.

The number of issues is not important. Because, potentially, all of those could be local attack vector. Or they could be network attack vector with mitigations or specific circumstances that do not apply (server).
