The taskbar update is awesome. A right click on the start button crashes explorer.exe. Every time. I'll try rebooting but I'm not impressed so far.

    ---Nope, reboot did not help.

Similar to right clicking on an app pinned to taskbar in stable, and then selecting Run as different user. Good times.

Build 22563 sucks. It's buggy, explorer.exe crashes with a Start Button right click, and I still don't have the new Task Manager.

Ha! I called it 2 days ago! How do they make these changes and not test the most basic of functions?

Very easily. That's the "modern" software development for you.

I think that's what "full diagnostic data," aka full telemetry, is for. :cautious: Insiders do at least some of the heavy lifting, I guess.

Finally got the new Task Manager with 22567. Right click on Start Button still crashes explorer.exe.

BTW, does anyone know a bit more about the new Smart App Control feature in Win 11? I mean MS Defender and MS SmartScreen were already supposed to protect you, so I wonder if it brings any new to the table.

Thanks, so it still remains a bit unclear. Like I said, Win Defender en SmartScreen should already be enough to block malware. Also, I wonder if this is only about UWP apps or will it also inspect Win32 apps. Or perhaps this stuff will simply replace SmartScreen.
