From the Internet, I've found a solution.
I need to highlight an App and/or a Browser icon, and use the Shift - F10 combination.
And now, I have all the "beauty" of the right click.

I take it you resolved your issue? Make sure Windows is up to date and you've got it secured with an AV and your firewall is turned on.

Yes, hi, that was one of the first things I tried, and weirdly, it's not even there as an option. Plus, an entry related to Windows Hello is greyed out. Ran sfc and dism--sfc "found corrupted files and fixed them." Still doesn't work. Maybe it'll mysteriously fix itself in the background sometime, it's happened before. :) I strongly suspect the latest update for the Insiders Beta channel may have played a role.

Nice! Congrats on finding the solution.

Just an observation. I tried Shift-F10. I see a totally different context menu than using a right click.

hi, plat. try 'control panel - power options - change plan settings - tick 'change settings that are currently unavailable - untick "require a pw on wakeup".

I avoid hibernation. I'm rarely away from my PC.

along with system restore and recyle bin reserved space. i don't use recycle bin. when i delete a file/folder i want it gone forever. and when i'm working on someone else's rig, i always use "shift + delete".

And Reserved Storage. That gives you an extra 7 GB of Free Space.

Thank very much for the tip but there is no such option to untick. I think there is something seriously messed up within the Control Panel; there have been other indications of that like the Power Plan spontaneously changing to High Performance from Balanced for no discernible reason and changing it back doesn't stop the processor from running at max boost until I restart the machine. No hibernate on here, no Fast Startup.

Think I'm looking at a Reset here unless it spontaneously resolves within the next few days. Thanks again, all. :thumb:

I've never gotten rid of that. Is is worth it?

+1 for hibernation. I always ditch that as well.

You get 7 GB of free space.

    Code:
To check whether Reserved storage is enabled:

    DISM /Online /Get-ReservedStorageState

To enable reserved storage, you can run the following command:

    DISM /Online /Set-ReservedStorageState /State:Enabled

To disable reserved storage, you can run the following command:

    Dism /Online /Set-ReservedStorageState /State:Disabled

    Hi Brian,

I just checked my machines and my laptop already had Reserved Storage disabled, although I don't remember doing that. Maybe I installed Windows on that machine before it was enabled by default. It hasn't had a clean install for quite a while.

My desktop PC had it enabled but I have disabled it now.

I've noticed a serious delay when using a browser.
For example, this morning I had updated my Osiris browser on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
Osiris is so fast on Win10 but so sluggish on Windows 11.
The same browser, the same update, but on Windows 11, Osiris is so slow!
Also, it looks like Windows11 is getting updates almost everyday.

I just updated my Dev channel VM with KB5007328. I was a bit concerned that it was titled "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version Next" but it seemed to work so it doesn't appear they have kicked me out of the Dev channel.

Some people like to be on the bleeding edge but I'm not one of the them. I just want it to work.
