I succeeded to replace my 1 TB rotating WD (WD10SPCX-75KHST0) by a Samsung 750GB solid state drive, using the paragon migration and recovery tools. However, when I look at the disk drive descriptors in windows device manager still lists the WD drive. It does not list the Samsung SSD. Same for Paragon Partition manager 14 Prof, no mentioning of a SSD (except a 32 GB SSD cache drive that Dell XPS 15 comes with) Is windows now not approaching the SSD as an rotating disk drive?
There is a thread devoted to a similar issue at http://www.tenforums.com/performanc...hci-mode-after-windows-10-installation-4.html I have successfully applied the secure mode boot to solve the issue of the wrong labelling/driver, see my contribution to that thread.
