After installing the Fall Creators Update, Spotlight on the Lockscreen does not cycle pictures.

Anybody have any suggestions on how to fix?

those who have the same issue should check to see if edge and settings apps are allowed to run in the background.if they're not, the spotlight will stop working since it cannot fetch new photos from bing.

please see below for the update.

No so. I have all background applications disabled and Spotlight is working fine here.

windows version?i got the latest version and when i disable background apps it stops working and lock screen background reverts to "picture".when "settings" and "edge" apps are allowed to run in the background everything works fine.

well, it seems you're right and i was (partially) wrong.see, if you turn off all background apps at once via "let apps run in the background" button then spotlight stops working but if you leave it on and turn off each app individually then everything works fine.case dismissed.

Yes, that is what I've done but forgot that step.

    Thanks.
