The Current Branch isn't ready for prime time because 32 bit desktop apps are superior to UWP apps. No contest.

If Microsoft wants to make UWP the Windows standard of the future, it has a lot of work to do.

As for live tiles, I can see the point on touch-screen PCs, tablets and smartphones. They're useless junk on keyboard and mouse-driven PCs and laptops. Microsoft, come on, give us a way to turn them off on devices on which they're not needed.

But you never have to use UWP apps. I've got hundreds of desktop apps installed and only two third party UWP apps from the Windows Store. I never use any of the UWP apps that Microsoft includes with Windows 10 (and at times have uninstalled every included app with IObit Uninstaller) and up until about two weeks I had no third party ones installed.
You don't have to use live tiles either. Just right click on a tile and select Unpin from Start, and it's gone. I've actually unpinned every single tile that is pinned by default with Windows 10, and replace them with software I actually use.

Exactly my point. I think live apps are good where you need to swipe and manipulate an app but they're terrible on the desktop.
And they look just ugly. Microsoft needs to get developers to create compelling content. As long as its not available in the Windows Store, people will continue to shun them.

Couldn't agree more on the Live Tiles aspect.

Another small ugh. Is there a separate way to enlarge the taskbar icons?

Plenty is made of that in Win 10 customization groups (among other things) but in all honesty it's not so much about customization as a hazard since they are so tiny compared to previous versions.

    EASTER,

    Does this help...

Right click Taskbar, Taskbar settings, Use small taskbar buttons, Off.

    Thanks anyway.

If it was that simple I would found it by now. Argggg

Why does M$ make life so difficult on the little things, which to a vision challenged person is not so little.

If one isn't vision challenged after a run around with previous Windows versions they soon will be if they spend too much time on one.

7 Tweaker for Win 10 helps just a little. Guess it will have to do for now.

Mine has always been set too off and think the icons are big enough.

Looks like your wireless driver. Safe to whitelist it to avoid dropped connections.

Did anyone notice that just the Store live tile in Start was not live but dead? Mine was inactive for months, but got a Store update this am and now it's moving. Jeesh all that effort to restore it and it seems it was a Microsoft bug.
