I already did the minor update, so my PC already runs 22H2.

I just want to have an installer in case I need to start from scratch someday.

Pah! Today you mount an iso. in Windows and run the installer! People no longer burn it to physical media.

Just got this update (by forcing in the Settings app)--KB 5001716. I clicked the link for an explanation and still have no clue what this is. I don't think any of my hardware or software is "approaching end of life") and it's fully 2 years until 10 goes EOL itself. OK well, installed it--did not need to restart. and no cleanup needed.

I sincerely hope Copilot can be disabled / removed if it does get ported to Win10.

I would assume it could be turned off with the same registry setting as in Windows 11.

O&O ShutUp10++ has an option to disable Windows Copilot (amongst many others).

W7 Pro was $350 for 3 years so I assume this will be comparable or more.

    That's CA-$350, right? That's AU-$393.02. If it's US-$, that = $528 + Australian.

    Ouch!

Small updated: my company IT is advising to not switch, and they are not supporting it at this point. Main blocker is lack of S/MIME support, which is required in conversation with any external company, as per company policy.
