Installing KB4580418 KB4580419--.NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 and KB4580364--Cumulative Update Preview. Hung a little bit at 74% installed but then successfully completed rapidly and took maybe 3-4 minutes all told. Winver for beta Insiders is now 19042.610. Maybe someone can post a changelog.

I found with the prev. 19042.608 and the latest NVIDIA driver, there was a slower boot by about 2-3 seconds. A clean boot really helped with that. Would that all fixes would be so easy.

Today Disk Cleanup claimed I could clear 4.27 GB of update junk, even though my disk space was showing 2 GB or so less post-update. When finished, it settled for 3GB.

    Edited to correct a number

Update from Win10 2004 to 20H2 in my test computer.

Using Windows Update took 3 minutes and after cleaning up, the C: partition had lost 0.4 GB of Free Space.

    A Win10 2004 image was restored.

Update using the 20H2 ISO took 47 minutes and after cleaning up, the C: partition had gained 0.9 GB of Free Space.

Ditto here albeit my .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 is different KB4580419 maybe a typo? And my leftover was only 360 MB. No issues during the update...

May I ask you the reason for restoring Win10 2004?

I created the image just prior to doing the update from Windows Update. I wanted to do the ISO update on the identical system used for the Windows Update. Otherwise I'd be doing a 20H2 update on a 20H2 system.

Update from W10 2004 to 20H2 downloaded and installed in just a few minutes. Disk Cleanup before was 4.2 GB and after 20H2 is now the same at 4.2 GB

The memory at idle and with Chrome open with 1 or more tabs seems to be a lot less after installing 20H2. The mouse works better since the 20H2 install. I am only using 2 percent of my page file now after 20H2. Before in 2004 i would get to 8 percent.

OK, I understand if you need to make sure that all software runs correctly in a business environment. But I personally am not planning to update Win 10 on a regular basis, I just don't see the point and it might break things.

BTW, I recently re-installed Win 8.1 on a friend's laptop, but to my surprise it didn't solve the problem with TiWorker.exe using 70% of CPU time and 80% of disk activity. The only thing I could do is to disable Windows Update and a couple of other services but this also broke File History, SmartScreen and Win Defender. But anyway, have you guys ever seen such a problem on Win 10?

LOL, let's hope that this isn't the case. So they mess up things just to generate some buzz. :D

You should run whatever build works best for you. On a personal machine that may mean not updating. If you are willing to invest the time you could always make a disk image, try a build out, and roll back if you don't like it. An update might break your machine. It might also run better.

As for the TiWorker issue, this looks like it might have some good suggestions:

I can't verify any of them because I am not having the problem.
