ISO's should be out next week. Although you can make an ISO right now in about 15 minutes from the UUP files (https://uup.rg-adguard.net/index.php) and one of the drop down menus has an option for a single click UUP to ISO conversion. It's running great here on my main machine.

Thanks for the info. I've put this on my personal laptop and desktop. Running very well on both. I may download that tomorrow for some testing at work.

But that's only a half measure.. i have done it 4 times so far... it comes back again in no time after a reboot.

If the Windows 10 Update Assistant you used is the one you get from the link below, you shouldn't be seeing nothing after upgrading your version of W10. Thats my experience using it twice in my computer and upgrading a friends W10 last week. This friends W10 is a new computer bought in December, that came with the base Creators version (15063.0). Since December he had rarely connected to the internet and had no updates applied. When we connected the machine to the internet here at my home, Windows update would throw errors. I suggested using the Assistant and it worked well. It updated his computer to the base version of 1709, and later we did the rest of updates that brought the computer to version 16299.309 (latest update to that point).

I noticed when you run the assistant you download, it install a program and creates a folder in C drive next to Windows and Windows.old folder. When you uninstall it, the folder gets deleted.

my main concern is not the fact that I get free updates or being insecure but the terrifying fact of repartitioning my HDD - macrium images, dual boot linux etc

For fear of the impending doom I had to use Update blocker from another forum...

Microsoft Launches Redstone 4 Build for HoloLens

Build 17123 comes with several improvements for HoloLens, and you can check the full changelog on Microsoft’s site here. There are also lots of enhancements for developers, and all of them are available on the same page. Keep in mind, however, that these are just part of a preview build, and certain bugs could still be possible.

This new release substantially improves the experience with HoloLens, and one of the highlights is the debut of File Explorer to manage your files.

Additionally, Microsoft says that audio has been significantly refined and now you should be able to hear HoloLens better in noise environments, while also enjoying more “lifelike” sounds from apps.

Obviously, only insiders can install this build, and you can opt-in to receive preview builds by going to Settings > Update & Security > Get Insider Preview builds > Get started.

This can only be good news given Microsoft’s new OS push for Windows as a Service, as the company typically discontinues older releases as new ones make it to the market.

A total of 91.4% of Microsoft’s devices are already on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, while Toshiba has the highest adoption rate of the latest release with 93.8%. Lenovo has the lowest score with 88.4% adoption.

Windows 10 Redstone 4 will go live in the first half of April, and just like it happened in the case of the previous versions, the rollout will take place in stages, which gives Microsoft more time to address compatibility issues before all systems get it.

Near Share only works for computers running the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update because both the sender and the receiver need to have this feature enabled. It requires Bluetooth, so unless your computer supports it, you won’t be able to use it. ronjor, I think we are talking at cross purposes here mate

I have W10 pre-installed on my Dell, however the newest upgrade wants me to jump from the version of W10 from 2015 year to that one from <arch 2018 which most likely would ruin my partitioning - am I making myself clear? Just wanted a reassurence/ confirmation of that as a fact.

I will wait at least a month before I even thing of upgrading production machines to the new Windows 10 version. Past releases have shown that things can go wrong terribly during upgrades and that Microsoft is busy fixing issues that come up after the release of the new Windows version
