ahhh crap!! i hit the wrong button!!!

ok here is the deal I got an exe from a Myspace page. I think it is a password stealer and nod32 v3 didnt scream or even detect andyhting. So i sent it over to virustotal and this is what they found...

Does nod32 not detect hoax files or is this just a new variant that they havent gotten yet? I submitted it threw quarantine and hopefully it will get detected or I will at least get an answer here.

 

Even if a file is not detected by an on-demand scanner does not mean that the user is not protected, there are other methods how to prevent a computer from being contracted with malware. Please submit the file to samples[at]eset.com and enclose this this thread's url as well.

 

I submitted after i quarantined it. does it go to the same place?
