    Hello!

Does NOD32 detect Win32/Mytob with AH?

    Best regards,

No,with signatures (but at first it was picked with AH if i remember correctly)... Why everyone expect that NOD32 should detect everything with AH anyway?
It has a very very good heuristics, but don't expect too much from it like 100% detection of unknown stuff for example...

if it first found a Mytob variant using AH, it's not that much of stretch to assume that future variants of the infection might also be AH detected.

    Fwiw:

Mytob.A was added in signature update v.1.1010 (20050227)... as can be seen here:

    http://www.nod32usa.com/nod32-updates/

more Mytob variants have been added in quite a few updates since the original signature update for Mytob.A - as recently as today (20050326) - Mytob.M was added in v.1.1038...

AH doesn't detect everything but detects a lot... :)

What is the problem to know if the AH detects a virus?

To my best knowledge, NOD32 has detected all variants of (not only) Mitob via Advanced heuristics without needing to update.
