I recently bought new hard disk..

Old hdd has two particions: C i E

First Win 98 was installed on C, than after some time xp on E: with option dualboot...
I want to copy XP on NEW HARD disk without copying Win 98 and its partition..

I tried to copy win xp E: partition to unallocated space of new hard disc, then i removed old hdd, placed acronis rescune CD an boot from it and installed acronis os selector: When OS selector starts IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE Win xp

    What to do??

Is there ANY way of copyng XP on other hard drive and WITHOUT copyng win98 and its partition... I no longer need win 98

    Thank you

    Hello Grizli,

Thank you for your interest in Acronis Disk Management Software.

Could you please download Acronis Report utility available at http://www.acronis.com/files/support/AcronisReport.exe and run it on your old computer, create a report and send it to us? This would provide us with detailed information on the hard disk partition structure.

Please collect the information requested above and contact us from our web-site: http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/my/support/ . Please don't forget to send the link to this thread along with gathered information. This would allow us to investigate the problem and help you with the solution.

    Thank you.
