BTW, I have a similar type of issue on Win 10, but it started after using the horrible MS OneDrive. All of a sudden I now have multiple Desktop and Documents folder, with no easy fix. Probably the only fix will be to reset my PC to factory settings. So my advice would be to stay away from MS OneDrive.

Thanks, I think you already pointed me to this thread, but I told you that I would rather stay away from this horrible MS OneDrive tool before it messes things up again. I can live with two desktop and documents folders for now.

I wish it was this simple, but it seems to be some kind of corruption, so deleting them will give problems. The only way to fix it is by resetting the PC, but it will cost me so much time that I keep postponing it. I can live with a partially broken Win 10 system, the most important things still work.
