I am interested in using a VPN and it appears those using OpenVPN are the ones I'm most interested in. Apparently the ones using OpenVPN install the TAP-Win32 network adapter. I presently have SecurityKISS on one machine and CyberGhost on another and both are using the TAP-Win32 Adapter V9

My question is, if I want to install another VPN that uses the same network adapter will it install an additional TAP-Win32 network adapter or will it use the one that already installed?

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to use them separately (as in not at the same time), they will all just use that one adapter. If you are trying to do simultaneous, you have to go into the OpenVPN folder in your Start Menu>Utilities>Add A New TAP Adapter. I believe you need to set that second one to 'Persistant' or 'Always Connected' to try to do Multi-Hop. I never got it to work on my machine, but didn't try too hard.

Yes you can. It will remove the first VPN TAP and install it's own but the 1st VPN will still work.

Thank you both for the reply. I don't plan to use two VPNs at the same time but might like to test a couple of them. Right now SecurityKiss is still looking real good.
