Will I be able to install programs that require a reboot? I downloaded Returnil from "Give away of the Day" awhile back and am finally about to install it. If everything goes back to original when rebooting, what about software that requires a reboot?

I believe GAOD requires you install & activate on day of offer?

On this, I believe you've answered your own question.

Naturally, you can install programs that require a reboot. However, if Returnil protection is ON during the install, they'll be gone on reboot (unless you commit changes); if protection is OFF during the install, they'll remain.

Thanks. I was thinking more about an option to retain the virtualization through a re-boot. Then, if i feel the software is okay, I can commit the changes.

regarding GAOD, I did not realize that you had to install it THAT day.

Another Q: Will virtualization remain intact through STANDBY on XP pro?

    Hi rcurry71 and welcome :)

Send us a note using the contact form on our website and let the team know you were not aware of the restriction and they should be able to assist...

Yes, there is no known issue with Standby or Hibernation on Win XP. We have also included a fix for prior incompatibility on Win Vista in the current 2.0.1 Beta versions.

This is not yet available but it is something we plan to explore this year so please stay tuned...
