    Hi,

Following some disasters with my PC at Key times, I am seriously considering using FD-ISR.

I have read as much information as I have been able to find but there are still some things for which i do not have an answer. Besides, I belive that it is better to get the answers from people that have already used the software.

Will FD-ISR work with the following security applications that I use?

    - Kaspersky Internet security 6.0 (inc. anti-virus / firewall)
    - Spyware Blaster
    - SpyBot Search & Destroy
    - Ad-aware SE personal
    - Rootkit Revealer
    - Cleanup!
    - Startup Inspector
    - Registry Mechanic
    - a-squared
    - AVG anti-spyware
    - MRU Blaster
    - F-secure blacklight
    - Acronis Disk Director suite

Has anyone had any issues with any of these applications? are there any solutions? or do you have any suggestions of similar programs that would work with FD-ISR

Many thanks in advance for your help

KAV/KIS 6.0 will be absolutely fine. I have worked with them both. I have also used Regsupreme Pro for registry cleaning with no problem.

With Acronis Disk Director just be careful. I've used it from BartPe to adjust Partition sizes, but that's it.

With apps like registry cleaners you can put FD-ISR on the "Ignore" list. The same goes for DeFrag utilities. Not sure about KAV, check Longboards link.

If he says it, subject to the usual caveats about ymmv; then it works.

To Amplify my answer a bit. I used KAV 6.0 beta's from build 200 to the current build, with FDISR no problem. As usual FDISR was there when the build was bad.

The reason the warning is on the Raxco website is for KAV 5.0 which used a different technology to keep track of what files had been scanned. It used the Alternate Data Streams, and that was the problem. Even then you could disable that technology on install of 5.0 and then install FDISR. I also ran that way just fine.

Again KIS/KAV 6.0 are just fine and dandy with FDISR

    Pete
