wich directX download ??

    Hi
    i would like to update the direct x of my windows xp sp2 with the last patches

    well i download from microsoft

    a small program dxwebsetup.exe

    but i run it , it ask me to accept the contract
    well the program seems that checks something but after some seconds told me "impossible to download the file ,check your internet ..."


    but with the firewall i did notice that dxwebsetup.exe does't even try to connect to the net

    my xp is original

    so what should i do ? to update directx

    It is a normal DirectX, it just contains files for all Windows versions. When you run it, it will update only neccessary files, which would dxwebsetup.exe download.

    the last version for XP is 9?
    10 is only for vista?

    XP runs DX9
    Vista runs DX9 & DX10

    Just run the redistributable for Nov 2008 and everything will be ok.

    but how can i know wich is the more new?
    because i did notice every pack has the name 9c

    should i re-install video & audio drivers?
