Why won't my AV update?

Hi,
Can anyone assist me in sussing out why my AV wont update?

I continue to receive "server connection failure"

Also do you use a firewall? What connection are you using (dialup, dsl etc.)?

using dsl to connect.
Occasioally the update starts but within seconds the download ends with the above failure reason.

Just a quick check,
Do you have your update server set to "Choose Automatically"?

Do you have any other real-time monitors running? Like a firewall, Anti-trojan, process watcher, etc..?

 

Sounds like a firewall not letting it do it's thing . Do you use one and what is it . You can always disable it and try to download the update . If it works , then you need to get some help on making a rule for it in your firewall .
